2.30 PM on Sunday 14th April will see two grand old combination clubs lock horns in the much anticipated Bristol Combination Cup Semi -Final clash.
Holding the game on a Sunday gives all those players who ply their trade on a Saturday at all the other great Combination clubs a chance to come along , sup a few beers and watch the Dings / Avonmouth vie for the chance of playing at the Memorial ground in the final.
The Bristol Combination is one of the oldest combinations in the world and consists of an amazing 53 clubs if you include the honorary member , Bristol RFC. Can you name the other 52 clubs?
No matter who you play for or who you support, come along to the Dings and show your colours. Wear any clothing that shows your team and lets see how many of the 52 clubs we can get under one roof.
The first person at the bar with a piece of clothing with the badge of the following clubs wins a free pint:
Abbey Wood RFC ( Not the school!)
The Peeler
Bristol Dockers
Bristol Rugby Former Players
After the game we have a live band, 'Chuff' kicking off about 5.00 ish and from 5.30 PM all draught is £2.80 a pint or 2 pints for £5 - get yourself a friend!
And if you fancy something a bit different we also have American Football at the Dings on the same day - Bristol Aztecs kick off their league programme against the Ipswich Bobcats - kick off at 2.30PM but the games last for 3 hours!
And finally a message to the Avonmouth : Someone told me that you stopped selling Natch. What no Natch at the 'Mouth! Has Avonmouth turned in to a wine bar?
