The Dings visit the fine Cornish rugby club, Redruth RFC, this coming Saturday in a bid to carry on our fine form which has seen us take 16 points from a possible 20 in the last four games.

Join the many who are promising to take the trip down next week and get behind the boys if only to see what this so called 'Hellfire Corner' is all about. Not sure it has the same ring to it as Dogs**t corner.

Some favourite memories of trips to Redruth:

1. The 2nd team trip a few years ago - cant give too many details on here but we are still paying the last few installments of the cleaning bill for the coach.

2. The alleged Cornish touch judge who with xray specs could see through two padded posts to overturn a match winning try and state it as clearly held up.

3. The personal favourite. Many years ago when Pat Parson was called up to the first team to make the long trip to Redruth. We must have had a load of injuries that weekend. Bob Hesford was the coach at the time. Pat started and at the midway point in the game the conversation went like this:

Pat: Bob, I need to come off

Bob: Why?

Pat: I can't tell you

Bob: Why?

Pat: I just need to come off

Bob: Are you injured?

Pat: No

Bob: Why then?

Pat: Cos I'm too fat

Pat was swiftly taken off.

Thankfully Pat will be blessing the 4ths with his skills this weekend.
