It falls to myself to be the reporter of yet more sad and sorry information with the news being that a Dings Favourite and Old Player John (Johnny) Peach sadly passed away Thursday 14th May 2026.

John joined and played for the club from 1970 onwards until 1985 amassing a total a total of 309 games, playing for all the clubs 5 sides and vets during that period, and he was so keen he played every possible position in the team just to ensure he got a game, I'm told that John was also warded his Dings Cap as well as also playing for Close Neighbours, Ashley Down where I believe he was also awarded his playing cap, a familiar figure riding and pushing his bike to and from games John was a distinctive character and was a proud Welsh man, and even to this day john was very sure not to advise and tell anyone of his age.

All of us who knew and played with John At Dings RFC send our very best wishes to Mary & David as they come to terms with this very sad news.
