We caught up with Harry at training to speak with him about rugby and his sponsors, and were pleasantly surprised by his response.

"I was born in Bristol so my roots are here, and found rugby when I was around 8 years old, playing locally in Cleve. I found that I enjoyed it and it became my way of life. Attending Hartpury, I joined Gloucester Academy, and from the age of 18, played professional rugby ever since, ending up in the Championship with Ealing Trailfinders.
On leaving Ealing, I moved to Bath on injury cover.
Knowing that Shaftesbury park had a decent gym, I called Steve Lloyd to see if I could use it.
My dad passed away when I was young, but he said he used to play rugby against him. and in Steve’s usual comically insulting manner and choice words, he agreed.
One thing led to another, and I joined Dings Crusaders at the beginning of last season, with a highlight second place finish. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

Finishing with professional rugby was a daunting prospect. Having done nothing else, bar living on a farm and having a licence to operate machinery, that was it.
Speaking with our DoR Stean Williams, I asked if he knew of any jobs, and within a week I was working with SOLUM Groundworks and Civil Engineering through
another coach at the club, and I can thank him, or them enough.
It makes you realise what a great community it is not just at Dings, but in the sport too.

Having the ability to carry on playing at a great club, to coach and develop, and start a new path with SOLUM I will be forever grateful for.
