It is my sad duty to inform all members past and present of the sad and untimely passing of Ray Bailey a long time Dings Player and Supporter.

Rays past is firmly entrenched in the clubs early history within the area of Lockleaze, and Ray has been well quoted in the early playing days when it was a sight to see the troops of players walking to the Landseer Avenue Ground.

Ray, had moved away from Bristol, up towards the Shropshire area, but he made a tremendous effort 2 seasons ago to make a long trip to when we played Newport Salop.
It was the ideal opportunity to present Ray with his 50 Year Tie, and for such a hard man in his day he was reduced to tears when presented with it.

The past couple of Years saw Ray fall into ill health and he was unable to make the same trip to Newport Salop this past Season.
The Club extend their condolences and best wishes to all of Rays Family at this extremely sad time and details of his Funeral will be posted as soon as they are known.
