SALE notched up a half-century of points to beat Dings in a high-scoring encounter.
The visitors quickly took the lead through Harry Rowson before star man Josh Brown hit back for the hosts, and Ollie Davies added the conversion.
Dings took the lead again through Matthew Jones, converted by Jamie Elswood, but Obi Ene dived over to level matters. 12-12
The Dogs hit the front for the first time in the 23rd minute as Brown grabbed his second converted try.
However, three tries from Kofi Cripps, Tom Foot and Tom Hargan, and two conversions by Elswood, put the Bristol men 10-31 ahead at the break.
Ene reduced the arrears just two minutes after the break with an interception, and the Dogs were then awarded a penalty try after a run from Mark Dixon.
More good attacking play saw Ene put Joe Green in under the posts and Davies was on target again. 40-31
Sale put the game to bed before the 70-min-ute mark, Nick Gray grabbing his second of the season before Ene offloaded unselfishly to give Sean Street an easy score; Davies made it six kicks from seven.
The away side had the last say as Alex Ashton sauntered in.
