Dings, however, stuck to their task well, taking a four-try bonus point, and would have undoubtedly ran the league leaders a lot closer, but for two yellow cards.
A try five minutes into the second half saw Dings trailing by just 12-19, but a second yellow in the game for Dings ten minutes later saw the visitors take full advantage, and seal the win with two converted tries in ten minutes.
Worthing opened the game at a fast and furious pace and caught Dings on the hop, with a try after just three minutes, with lock Charlie McGowan crashing over from close range. Scrum- half Joe Govett converted.
Dings weathered the storm for ten minutes with some last-ditch defence, and on 20 minutes hit back with a try from centre Rob Dempsey, after a fine run by wing Jack Nowell.
Mark Woodrow added the conversion to edge the home side into a 7-5 lead. Worthing regained the lead on 27 minutes against the run of play, as Crusaders pressed hard on the Worthing line.
A dropped pass was seized by centre Kiba Richards, who carried deep into the Dings 22 before feeding wing Alex Neilsen for a try, converted by Govett.
On the stroke of half time, wing Jack Maslen rounded of a sweeping backs move to touch down in the corner, again Govett converted to give the visitors a 19-7 lead at the break.
In the opening minutes of the second half, prop Josh Lloyd touched down for Dings from a five-metre line-out to put Dings back in the game and reduce the arrears to 12-19. However, on 52 minutes, Dings had their second yellow card of the game and it proved decisive, and Worthing took full advantage by scoring two tries in ten minutes.
The first came from man-of-the-match Gorvett, from a training ground move at the line-out, where he burst through the middle to score.
The second was scored by flanker Sam Hedwick, after another barnstorming run from Richards. Both tries converted by Govett.
Dings third try came on the hour from Woodrow, after good runs from centre Dempsey and Nowell, Woodrow added the conversion.
The visitors added two more tries, but Dings got the deserved bonus- point in the final minutes of the game when Josh Lloyd ended the half as he started it with his second try from a line-out drive.
