Dings Warriors ran out under the lights on a showcase of a match with some real talent on display as Clifton Misfits were far from disjointed.
From the start it seemed that this was going to be tight game. The Warriors put down a marker crossing the paint first, but the Misfits struck back immediately with a penalty.
It really was end to end stuff, with Clifton exploiting the wide channel and Dings taking advantage of line breaks, a powerful forward game and a lack of Misfit discipline, with 2 yellows and a red, losing their loose-head as he saw a second yellow. Despite this, Cliftons resilience was strong as they hit back to level the scores 12 a piece when they were down to 14, but as the game wore on, their lack of numbers was telling as Dings exploited the gaps.
Dings players of note, Jacob Fuller, creating the space for the wingers to run, Josh Green taking a gap when it wasn't there, the Hilton brothers working hard through the middle, but noted by most in the stands, number 8 Matt Williams was a powerhouse of physicality throughout the game.
